Japanese Hot Sauce - 12/24/09 06:56 PM

When the wife and I eat at Kobe steak house in Dallas, they serve a hot sauce that is dark brownish and has a pasty consistency. Anyone have a recipe for it or know where to buy it?
Thanks,
Don

I think you're talking about "plum sauce?" I've eaten that at the pho shops. You mix in a red hot sauce and plum sauce, which gives it a sweet and spicy flavor.
