I think it's about time to give up one of my recipe's. As with any recipe, you can always adjust to your taste.
Call it the Ole' Mom and Pop type recipe !! Try it, you might like it.

1 can of Rotel's Tomatoes and green Chili's drained ( Mild or Hot ) depends on you and heat.
1/2 cup of finely chopped onions
2 cups of HUNTS 100% ketchup. Heinz has too much added junk in it.
1/4 - 1/2 cup Molasses............... adjust to sweetness
1/4 - 1/2 cup of Brown sugar...... adjust to sweetness on your Next batch!
1/4 cup Orange juice
1/4 cup of honey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup apple juice
1 tsp. of dry mustard
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 cup Grape Jelly
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper......adjust to your heat preference
1 tsp. Worcester sauce
1/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke

I did not add salt. BUT, I did add one more thing. And that is 3 Strips of Anchovies. The kind in the Little rectangle can. These little strips contain the salt and add flavor.
Place the can of drained Rotel, chopped onions, anchovies, and ketchup in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend. Pour mixture into a sauce pan, heat at 200*F for an hour and a half to 2 hours, stirring now and then. Pour sauce into sealed jars, let cool, then place in fridge for about 3 days so all the ingredients can marinate together. Enjoy
