Jerky Questions - 12/10/17 10:43 PM

I'm thinking about making jerky in Bulk very soon. The last 2 days I have been on line looking at video's and recipes. I'm starting with Teriyaki Beef Jerky. There is so many different recipes out there. If you are a jerky making guru you may want to enlighten me on a couple things. Teriyaki Marinade/Sauce.....what would be the GO TO Brand? I just ordered more seasoning from www.AtlanticSpicecompany.com. Best prices and selections I have found. Do you put Dr.Pepper, Orange Juice in your marinade? How about fresh pineapple? Decisions Decisions!! I picked up 5# of Eye of Round yesterday. That's my starter meat. Have you used a Beef Brisket to make jerky? Lastly.....What's in your recipe? Thanx

I've used this one with great results, and I'm not a fan of Dr Pepper

Everyone raves about it and wants more. Never last more than a day or two at the most

I make a LOT of jerky. What I have gone to doing is just marinade the meat (beef is pretty greasy/fatty, I prefer venison) in either Lowrey's liquid marinade or Allegro hickory smoke marinade (for a "more smokey" flavor).

As there are no preservatives in these marinades, I keep the jerky in the fridge, till its gone.

I like the Backwoods pack from Academy, they have several flavors. I like the HOT the best and I mix it with 1 cup of mango juice and 1 cup of Moores marinade instead of water. Makes some damn good jerky.
