Does anyone know if you have a bad cylinder on one of these motors, if you resleave it or is there something funky about a Yamaha I don't know about

Yes they can be re-sleeved by a specialty machine shop that is set up for sleeving. Some outboards have oversize pistons available so the bad cylinder can be bored to an oversize. They show oversize pistons for your motor.
