Merc. Hydrolic stearing - 02/13/15 10:48 PM
I noticed coming home from the lake a few weeks back that my 225 optimax was moving around while I was driving. Well I picked the motor up earlier to put the transom saver on and noticed it moved. There was a little oil in my splash well. My question is, what kind of oil do they take and since there is oil in the back is my piston gone.
Thanks

If it's a Seastar unit you'll need a reseal kit such as this
A reseal kit instructions ---
A Kit Example I've always used Seastar Fuild but you'll get lots of suggestions for this and that fluid works fine etc etc and you'll have to decide on your own.
