150 Mercury boggs down on take off - 10/31/13 03:43 PM

I have a 1999 150 Mercury on my Nitro and when I take off it is slow to get on plane. I have replaced the fuel filter, water separator and the pump ball on the fuel line and it got a little better. I don't know what to try next. Maybe the fuel pump? any suggestions, Help please. Tom

I'd take it to Brad at Bear Marine. I was having a similar problem and it turned out to be a vacuum leak.

Carb or EFI? If this is something that just started ya might check comp. and fire ta all 6 first. It can sound just fine runnin' on 5 but no "umph"...........

Can be many things, you need to break it down. To either fuel or fire.
Check the plugs and coil packs. If good go to fuel ststem may have wRer in a carb.

Seen a lot of this with old or bad fuel. Like when you get a higher dose of ethanol. Several things can cause bogging.
