2021 250 ProXS water temp

Bought a 1 year old rig a few weeks ago with a 2021 250 Merc ProXS, noticed that the water draining out the engine is always super hot after use. Even when running just a few miles back to the launch, when I've got the boat on the trailer putting on the motor buddy and the straps the water coming out of the engine is hot to the touch. Last couple engines I've had were a yammy and merc that never had water that hot. Water pump is fine, have strong pressure coming out.

For the guys that have these newer Mercs, is this normal? I dont have the smartgauge setup to see engine temps

I might be wrong but this may be what you're experiencing. When you shut the engine off and tilt it up that water is staying in the block getting heated because it's not being circulated. Then when tilted down the heated water runs out. Only thing I can think of. Mines a 2017 and I've never noticed it hot but I've also never stuck my hand under it tilting it down to run the water out.
