Evinrude E-Tec G2 250 - Code 36

I am having trouble finding support for Evinrude with them out of business. I have a Ranger Z521 with Evinrude E-tec G2 250 and it is giving off code 36 'waiting on neutral'. I use a hotfoot. The motor will easily start and idol but will not throttle up. Doesnt seem to be going into gear. Has anyone else had this problem, or have thoughts on the issue? Thank you in advance.

in my manual code 36 is cylinder oiler solenoid not connected the system check light should be no oil hope this helps.
