Trailer Recommendation for Ranger

Trailer Recommendation for Ranger - 02/06/21 09:50 AM

I now find myself in need of a tandem axle trailer for a 2005 Ranger Z20; the rear axle cracked off as I arrived home yesterday (glad it happened where it did rather than cruising down the road). This will be my first time buying a boat trailer that doesn't have a boat sitting on it. Any recommendations?

Appreciate the recommendation. Google is indicating they are closed; regardless, I'll give them a call and find out.

Why buy another rust bucket painted junk chinese steel trailer?
You can get a lifetime custom aluminum for the same cost, and have a far superior trailer.

There's several really good ones, these guys are as good as it gets:

You can try Roadmaster, they are running 4 to 6 weeks wait time

Or try this thread, he may have one that will fit your Ranger

I would get ahold of Ranger. They had a weld problem with those years of Ranger trailers that were made by Tie Down Engineering.. The bracket that holds the axel to the frame developed rust under the road armor and broke. They have in the past sent new axels to have them replaced. If you call ask for the trailer department and or try to talk to Rick Huddelston (I think). He is at the Flippen AK Ranger plant. Take pictures as well as scrape of the road armor off the other brackets to see if they are cracked as well.

Greatly appreciate all the recommendations. I'm contacting all that I can get with in order to get that Ranger under some wheels so I can get back to the lakes. Thank y'all.
