Skeeter Hawk Project - 02/02/21 03:21 PM

Here is my current Skeeter Hawk project. It started out with a console but I am converting it to a stick steer. It had a 85hp Johnson on it that is good so I will more than likely reinstall it. Here are some before picks.

Here are some pics of the boat after I had the inside sprayed with LineX. They had some clear with metal flake in it so they top coated it. It has a slight sparkle to it in the sunlight. I will start putting it together as the weather warms some. The Skeeter Hawk in the background is the next project.
If there are is any body interested in buying one of these let me know so as I put it together I can do it to your specs.

It had a 45hp Mariner. It had issues, I sold it for parts.

I haven't come up with a price yet. If I finish them out it would be different than if somebody bought the hull and wanted me to finish out to their specs.
I did one that ended up costing 17K. The buyer wanted 11K worth of acc. Here is a pic, of that one. [Linked Image]

I have the exact boat , I bought it 3 yrs ago for $500.00. It has 70HP evinrude. will run 35mph and sucks down the gas.
I bought it take grandkids in because its deep sided.

The one in the background was the one I gave Michael. I can't wait to see it come back to life and for someone to get to use it again. Plus, getting it out of the barn freed up a lot of space..... Win:win

Needs a 115 Pro XS on it.

Re: Skeeter Hawk Project - 02/04/21 03:12 PM

rb, the boat you gave me will probably be a summer project as the foam that I will use needs 70 degree weather to cure right. I am starting to remove all the flooring now. Trying to figure out how to reattach the rod box and livewell. This one will be a challenge. Looking forward to it.

Just thought to share a Super Skeeter rebuild that was a fun project for a customer. Lets just say, it started as a 500.00 boat and trailer.
