Help, this doesn't seem right

Help, this doesn't seem right - 01/04/21 02:23 AM

So my buddy has a 2019 skeeter FX21 WITH A YAMAHA 250 ON IT

Our fuel economy seems WAY high but we can't find any rescource to know for sure.

We are tooling on around on pad say 50 mph and burning on a GOOD day 16 gallons/hour most the time it's 18 and when running flat ou it's 20+ gallons per hour...

Example we ran from Mcowen to Kimble bend today and burned 1/3 of a tank of gas. It's like a 48 gallon tank

15 gallons of fuel... is this normal??

yes that is about right some of the 2 stroke motors use 28 gph at wide open throttle

So are the 150 and smaller size motors just that much more efficient?? Cause we can go HIGH 40s in the 18 foot and I think we are getting twice the M/G

That's it. Look at all of them. Go look at the Mercury stuff also.

If you run hard, it's 3, maybe 3.5 miles per gallon.

Always has been, or worse.

If you want mileage, you have to slow down. Car, truck, boat, airplane, aircraft carrier, same rule.
