Has anyone run the Mercury Black Max prop? I have come to the realization that my current prop is just the wrong pitch for my boat. I will have a three blade LaserII 22p prop up for sell soon, but first I need to get another one.

need more info, boat? motor? WOT RPM with the Laser II 22p? Pitch of Black Max prop?

2011 Nitro with a 115 and with a full load I'm pushing between 5200 - 5400rpms. I'm looking at a 17pitch prop.

Beware of the hub size, I believe you need the small hub for a 115 and I am not sure the Black Max came with a small hub. You might be able to use a 19p depending on which prop.

a 17 will probably be too low. I don't remember the exact amount but thinking 150 - 300 rpms per 2". Cup will also make a difference. More cup will lower RPMs. You need to talk to Josh at Steve's Props.
