Oh man! I replaced my old 55lb thrust Minn Kota with a new 80lb thrust iPilot model and WOW! What a difference!
I already had 2 batteries (rigged in parallel) for my old trolling motor, So just had to do a little rewiring and it was off to the races. I have this on my 16' aluminum skiff and DANG! I was able to get the boat up to 7mph with a head wind. The Spot Lock feature works great, but was suitably impressed with my little high speed run, not that I'll be making many of those.
Can't wait to try it below the dam, just hoping it holds. I'm thinkin' it will.
