CMC Hydraulic Jack Plate question - 10/11/18 10:37 PM
I confirmed my jack plate was still working when I bypassed the wiring harness so I installed a new wiring harness and I still can't get it to work. How rare is it for the trim style switch to quit working? Mine has 3 hookups for the 3 wires, but none of them are labeled. I've tried them in every combination and it still won't work. Is there a way to determine if the trim switch is the issue without buying a new one?

The red is the hot, touch the red with the blue, or the red with the green. I just had a switch go out. Hung in up position,, Bought a new on from Amazon.

Thank you, Bruce. My switch was bad and Amazon will have me a new one here in a couple days.

It's easy to remember by color code. Red is always hot. Blue is sky - Up. Green is water - down.

Mine is indeed purple and the issue was the switch. I wish I wouldn't have bought a wiring harness first.
At least I didn't throw out the old harness so now I have a spare.
