Motor guide Questionj

Have an older motor guide digital. The steering cable slipped out of the foot pedal. I pushed the pedal down at the back and attached the wire through the little hole. Now the cable is so tight I can’t push the pedal down or forward. Any ideas. Thanks

Should have cable tension adjustment points on front of foot pedal. Procedure is in owners manual.

pull the top cap off the motor shaft it may have slipped off the turning drum when the cable had slack in it.
