Shimano Chronarch 201e7 - question about work - 01/04/14 02:07 PM
Hi
I have a strange question about shimano chronarch 201e7.
I found this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URpUnwbtUTE&feature=youtube_gdata_playerand I want to ask about this moment: 1.07 - 1.15 min
My question is about this noise during reel. Is it normal? I have exactly the same sound when I use heavy jerk or thighten spool tensioner.

Don't need to watch the video. It is the Anti Reverse pawl hitting the ratchet gear. Common problem. I usually just remove them in service.

If I remove this I shouldn't have any problems with heavy jerk 70 grams? (strike problem)
Why it happens only with heavy lures or thighten spool tensioner?
I found this:
"when the arms are straight or bent outward, the pawl moves freely on its post. that's where you hear the clicking noise - the AR ratchet turns with the handle, the loose AR pawl is bouncing up and down the ratchet teeth."
You mean that my arms are straight? I have a problem with this after cleaning my shimano and I have this clicking sound but after this I repaired pawl and don't have this clicking. But have this strange sound like on this video and I don't remember is it normal (mean I don't remember it is since I bought this reel)
