Abu Garcia 7000ic3 made in china

What the heck? My Sweden Abu Garcia says on bottom. Made in china!

I heard the production of the 7000 was now in China. I have been stocking up on the 5500 and 6500 series before they move those models as well. I know the 7000 has had some bad reviews. Now we know why!

Here are the ones now made in China. There may be other models. So far, my 5500 and 6500 series reels still show Sweden.

No, all of the Korean and Chinese products say "Engineered" in Sweden.

They are all Junk and I am afraid a long tradition of excellence is on the way to the junkyard. Thanks Pure Fishing. I try very hard to not order anything from them. They have done the same thing to Penn also.

So where do you find garcia parts that do not or have not come from pure fishing?

Exactly. I said I try hard NOT to buy from them. The Swedish made ones still have the parts from a plant in Sweden. I just have to buy from Pure Fishing.
