Black Max

I have an OLD Abu Garcia Black Max.....

It is a left hand retrieve but will only turn BACKWARDS!

This was given to me by a friend that got it at a garage sale.

Any idea on how to make it turn correctly?

It isn’t worth fixing, IMO. I THINK they are like $40 for a new one. Literally the least expensive BC in the market.
The clutch and zero reverse bearing, plus time/labor would cost about as much as a new one.

sounds like someone took it apart and put the one-way bearing in backwards
