What is your current turnaround time?

Currently 3 reels 24hrs

I may have to send you a couple of reels before I go tuna fishing in a couple of weeks. Hopefully have them back by the time I get back from tuna fishing. And you might have a bunch of offshore reels to clean next.

have a mess ( 5-10 ) Daiwa TDX-103 HVA's that need clean and drag washers.
use to get the washers at Southwest but they say they can't get them anymore.
are they worth doing ?????

I like the carbon drag washers upgrades...makes them smooth as far as drag...I’ll pm you my address to send them to

Steve is a great guy and does great work.
He has been on the forum and been doing reel repair for a long time.
I have even used him to do hydro dipping some reel covers.

It's not one of these fly by night guys.

What is your current turn around time ?

24-48 hours depending on the amount of reels sent...the aforementioned time frame is for 4 reels typically.

I have 4 reels that I need cleaned if you still clean older reels. I have had them in the shed for the last 15 years and have been using the new ones. They are the Shimano Bantam Coriolus CO 2008, Bantam Curado CU 100 w/flipping switch, Corsair and a Daiwa AG 2 w/flipping switch also. I am in no hurry and probably have some old 5000 and 5000 C to send you later. Please PM me the address and price so I can ship them to you.

Steve did 24 of my reels just recently and I have to say, I am absolutely in awe by the way they perform. They are smooth and feel new again. I will definitely five him my business and will refer anyone I know to him as well. Great service, fast turnaround and amazing service by providing updates and answering any questions I had. I’ve got a Daiwa Tatula CT Type R that fell off my deck and it broke the main button to you use to cast half off. Is this something you can do? Might as well get it cleaned too.

I can ship it to you and I’m corona free but will wipe it all down to boot.

I have several old red round abu,g's 5000/6000 from the 60s-70s. They need some love.

Sent 4 reels to get cleaned and a bearing upgrade on 1 of them. Couldn’t be happier. All the reels feel brand new. Highly recommend Steve-O’s and I will use him again.

Do you do super tuning? I have a few new reels I need to send in that are acting stubborn. Also do you do work/upgrades on the drag system and bearings?

Hi mike! Thx for contacting me...I do upgrade the bearings and drag systems on reels...we don’t super tune which involves filing the gears etc

I sent Steve O all my shimano’s very pleased with the results and the process. I should have asked you then Steve but do you recommend anything in between service like a spray or something
that maintains without opening up. I used to open mine up but my eyes aren’t so good anymore.

Thank you for the words! No not really unless you run them through salt water then a good rinsing with fresh water will suffice until next service

Hi Steve...brand new to the forum basically because I am in search of someone to get my AbuGarcia Ambassadeur XLT LH reel back together. I have had it for near 30 years and decided it needed cleaning and lube. I opened it up and immediately this little part fell out (see attached pic). I spent the next two hour searching YT for how to disassemble/reassemble it and nothing. I see you are in Copperas Cove..I live in Troy...perfect. Can you help? Thanks in advance.
