Problem with my HDS 12

So I have a Lowrance HDS 12 Touch Gen 3 that I am having problems with. What it is doing is when I turn it on, it will come on for a few seconds, then off for a few seconds, then on, then off, very systematically. Someone told me it might be the battery, I replaced it, didn’t fix it. Someone said maybe the wiring, I hooked my front unit to it, it works just fine. I took it to a marine shop and they hooked it up to their power souce. As soon as they turned it on, it threw the power. I called Lowrance and all they told me was to send it in. Has anyone ever had a similar issue with this unit?

I have heard of this issue from other customers and the resolve was to send it in for repair.

So your customers were able to get it fixed by Lowrance and they didn’t have to get a new unit? That is my fear.

Gen 3 should be repairable, Gen 2 most likely will not repair.
