Non-Ethanol Fuel

Non-Ethanol Fuel - 09/07/17 02:58 AM

Hey y'all,

I'm somewhat new here, especially posting, but As y'all know fuel shortages are pretty bad in Fort Worth right now. Anyways, I've got a 92 Ranger down here with me (normally live in St. Louis) and have to run a pure fuel, with 0% ethanol. Does anyone by chance know of any stations in FTW or on any lakes around the area that offer this fuel? I live around 35/30 so as close is preferable, but travel for lakes of course. Please let me know since my tank is nearly empty and I want to get back on the water!

Thank you!

Murphy gas stations at WalMart in Weatherford west of you is closest. I live in Grand Prairie & go there OR if I go east i get it while down there & ALWAYS fill up on the way home & fill 3- 5 gallon cans. East of you it can be bought around Lake Fork & McKinny areas. Some are the distributors yard location & some are the retail outlets. Toward Cresson on Hy 67 has it but only high dollar/high octane (97 & 102) for racers at the track, NOT what we need in our outboards. . Download pure-gas.org on your phone. It'll show any state you want to select, address, phone #,& what octanes they carry. Its a great app. . I run a rebuilt 94 Merc & WONT run ANY ethanol fuel either. Cant be sold in Metro areas due to EPA clean air standards. You'll see its mainly at marinas (high dollar!!!) or around smaller agricultural towns outside large metro areas. It USUALLY is about .20-.25 cents more than unleaded/ethanol 87 price.

Bronco71. Sorry, My bad. I was thinking Greenville but typed McKinney. Download the pure-gas.org app on your phone/computer for the list. Select any state you want & check it out. Really a good app for travel also.
Youre right, also Mt Pleasant/Mt Vernon area has a couple. I stop at those when I go to the tri-lakes,Welsh area.
Thanks for catching that.

Slab Killa, the closest I've found is Murphys (Walmart) in Weatherford. puregas.org website gives locations. Look there for other locations.

Thank you!! I thought for sure the Pure Fuel website wasn't updated since there are a ton of stations in MO and OK around areas I've been. Guess we're just a bit different, but good to know about the metropolitan areas. Though weatherford is a bit out of the way, I can make sure to completely fill up going to PK or eagle mountain. I honestly don't mind paying more for fuel. 93+ isn't necessary, but the extra charge for a marina isn't a big deal to me. Still cheaper than dealing with gummy carbs every spring.

Re: Non-Ethanol Fuel - 09/30/17 05:35 AM

V-bottom, check the pure-gas.org site. You choose which state & it shows all info at each location. City,StreetAddress, octanes carried, phone number.Murphys(Walmarts) are USUALLY 87 octane. Choose whichever state you want. It lists locations in that state. They have all states & Canada,ehhh.... Site also allows users to upgrade info, like a site no longer in business can be deleted or if a new location starts carrying it ,users can add it to the list.
