I'm lost.

I bought a navionic card for my huminbird 698 had si. It works when I have it plugged in. When it's removed i loose the maps. I also bought a Sam Rayburn boat lane chart. Can't get it to load at all. What am I doing wrong?

the Navionics card has to stay inserted in order to work. your unit doesn't automatically download it. Otherwise, 1 guy buys a card and let's all his buddies have a copy for free... and Navionics doesn't get the sales.. they designed the card so you can't copy it.

and for a SAM BOAT lanes.. you'll need to import them to your units HD. Lance Vick boat lanes should have direction for HB that you follow to do the import.

Yeah as JFDawson stated above the Navionics cards are read only and will only work while plugged in, you can't save data or remove data from those cards.
