Auto pilot won't spot lock??

I have the Terrarova Autopilot. When I hit the spot lock button it will hold the spot and them after a couple minutes it will beep and trolling motor stops. No clue how to fix this. I have replaced battteries thinking it could be a power problem. That didn't work. Anyone else have this issue? Any clue???

Mine Spot lock on the Ipilot has been giving me grief as well recently. It won't shut off, but it doesn't hold me anywhere near as good as it used to. Drifts alot further off before it catches up and returns. I haven't the foggiest of why.

Maybe a software update? If they have the capability?

Reboot by unplugging for a minute. That fixes mine.

Might need to re acquire the GPS module

Have you checked the remote to see if it is losing the gps signal when this happens?

my terrova was doing the same thing Kenny11 but the wind was blowing this weekend at falcon. Then went to my next spot pit it in the water and it started running constantly.Wont turn off other than by changing speed. It looks like now i need a control board for mine.
