Waypoint not saving on unit, humminbird 998s networked

one of my 998s is not saving the waypoint. it says saved successfully but no number is assigned and there is no waypoint on the screen. have moved it to boy with separate gps puck same issue. i asked humminbird and and they said turn declutter off. this is not an option showing and there are no waypoints around. any help is appreciated.

Setup->Advanced Options, turn this on and De-clutter option will appear. I would turn it off.

But make sure you do not have Snapshots turned on. Snapshot turned on requires you to have a SD-card in the unit for it to take a waypoint & snapshot.
