A ? regarding Graphs and The Red River - 06/06/08 03:55 AM

My Buddy fishes the River for Cats above Texoma.
Hes interested in purchasing another graph, maybe Eagle 480. He currently has a older model.
He was asking me if I thought the amount of SAND constantly churning affects the Quality of Picture(Signal Return)
Will it show the same quality signal return as a lake /reservoir ?
I wasnt sure so thought I would ask you guys.
Thanks in Advance

Probably not. I am far from an expert on the graphs and maybe just am setting it wrong but mine works great in the main lake but when I go up the river and get it the super sandy water it does not work so well. I still get accurate depth info, but no fish display. By the way this is not in Texoma but I guess andy water is sandy water.
