Recessing the trolling motor foot contrl - 06/01/08 06:58 PM
I noticed in Academy today that they sell a kit that will recess the foot control for a trolling motor. Obviously, there would be some cutting of the fiberglass needed. Is this a bad idea for 2001 Skeeter XZ190?
Thanks

NO BIG DEAL I HAVE DONE 2 OF THEM IN MY BOATS. ONE BEING A NITRO THE OTHER BEING A TRITON. THE TRAY COMES WITH A LAYOUT OF WHERE TO CUT. LAY IT DOWN MARKET IT AND CUT. IT IS THAT SIMPLE OR AT LEAST FOR ME IT WAS. I USED A JIG SAW WITH A WOOD BLADE.

I've been to two Academy's and neither had the recessed foot control. Is there another store or online (Link?).
Thanks,
