It is very hard to turn the steering wheel on my boat, are the cables bad or is there some type of an adjusment. It is a 93 model with a 150. Any sugestions?

Probanly the cables. I had the same problem on my 2000 Skeeter. Cost about $400 to replace them.

Better to just replace the helm and cable. Will run you about 200 if you do the install yourself. Not a hard job to do. Harder to get the cable out than to put it on. Once you put a new one on, I switched to using hyraulic fluid on the steering cable instead of grease.I had to cut the cable to pull it out.

When you pull the old one out tie a piece of rope to the end to use to pull the new one.
