Lowrance Ghost direction arrow - 08/26/21 03:07 AM

Was on the lake today with the anchor lock turned on.
Noticed the TM doing some odd jogging to maintain position.
When i checked it, I found that the blue indicator arrow on top was pointing 180 deg different from where the motor head was pointing.
Cycled power, etc. etc.
Arrow points east, motor drives west.

Anybody seen this? What's the fix?

Foot control seems to still work fine. Just the indicator is 180 out.

The pointer is magnetic and will pop off by gently prying it up with a small flat blade screwdriver. Spin it with your fingers and see if it’s moving freely or if it’s getting stuck with debris. If it spins freely, pull it off and see if the magnets are glued in the wrong location.

Re: Lowrance Ghost direction arrow - 09/14/21 11:09 AM

so I have a new ghost and I have the same problem when I put down the anchor my gps rotates out by 180 degrees.

when i'm just running the trolling motor my pointer is pointing straight ahead on the ghost as it should.

if I rotate the pointer to fix the Anchor problem will that not throw my trolling motor out by 180 degrees if i'm just trolling?

ps. I've only been out one time so i'm very new to this...…….
