Motorguide tour digital 36volt help

I purchased a new to me motorguide tour digital 36volt about 3 months ago. It worked great the first few times I used it. Then it would occasionally stop working and then start again and work for a while. Then about 3 weeks ago it stopped all together so I checked all of the connections they all tested perfectly. So I pulled the lower unit apart and it had 36volts at the brushes when turned on. So I checked the impedance of the armature. It was all in range. So I cleaned the commutators and replaced the brushes. And after assembling it. It seemed to work fine. So I went fishing this morning and it wouldn't work at all. So I got back into the lower unit and now there is no power at the brushes but power on the power input side. What would be the next logical step to diagnose the problem. Any input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Does any one know of a good method of checking the se module?

I purchased a new to me 36v tour digital trolling motor about 4 months ago. It worked fine the first 5 or 6 times I went out. Then it stoped working occasionally and then just stopped altogether. I thought i had a bad se module(because I would leave it on during charging) so I replaced it and the brush card. And now when you turn the switch on the motor kicks on for about a 1/2 second then nothing happens. I have 38.381 volts at the motor head on the red and black wires even when I flip the switch on. I have made a jumper to jump from battery wires to the head and this did not help. Then I tied the orange and green wire together temporarily to see if it would run on high. Still nothing. What would be the next logical step to troubleshoot this problem? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
