Need some help or direction on this one. I have an older Minn Kota Maxxum 74 3X bow mount that needs to have the upper spring sleeve replaced. I have the part, but I can't find anything on replacing it.
Don't know if I take the control head off or the motor off first. Also concerned about the spring housing and the preload on the spring.
It's a bushing that goes just above the spring inside the housing.
Am trying to avoid having to pay someone to do this and have the motor tied up for a while.
