Battery Desulfator - 10/01/19 03:46 AM
Has anyone used them? If so, what were the results?
I have one , I have mixed feelings about it . I keep my equipment on battery tenders ( trickle chargers ) and when I hook up the desulfator it indicates the battery isn't fully charged , so I let it do its thing for 24 hrs and it tops off the battery and supposedly desulfates but its not obvious that anything good happened other than that battery will show a full charge for about 4 months while still using the trickle charger , then one day it just shows a not full charge again ? So I think its working but I don't understand why the battery tender brand trickle chargers are not keeping the battery fully charged . I have tried to monitor voltage with a multimeter but I can't see the voltage drop that the desulfator thinks it see's . I bought mine from Northern tools . Raptor, be sure that the battery selector switch under the seat is in the TOW position when using the desulfator.
I had to replace a motor because of it.
