Rod return policy has changed. Damaged rods will not be replaced if more than 1 year old.

Guess all good things must end sometime. Darn shame.

The only shame is that it was brought on by people with low moral standards. I don't blame Academy at all.

So. Was/is Academy replacing rods rods that people stepped on, closed doors on, and other owner responsible actions ?

Not if they told the truth, but if rod failed under normal use they would replace. My Castaway blew up in 2 pieces while throwing a 3/4 oz. bait.
