Best deal on 3 deep cycle batteries? - 03/03/18 10:46 AM

I am in need of 3 deep cycle batteries, I have 3 sears PM1's, size 31 that are in need of being replaced. I've checked the local Sam's who have 31 series agm Duracell's for $159 ea. and lead acid batteries are $75 ea. Are there any better deals out there on deep cycle batteries?

Prolly not for AGM's .
Reserve Capacity minutes (RC) as close to or over 200minute ratings cost more than $159. Academy has Exide Group31 AGM's for $269 + tax (regular price) minus $20 core. Its what i prefer to put in my boats.

WalMart. You can get them replaced anywhere.

won't buy another Exide anything from Academy.
not Academy's fault, batteries just didn't hold up.
went through 2 sets with the same results.
have been running the Duracell AGM's from Sam's for 2 years without 1 instance of a problem.

I read a lot of complaints on Exide, but my big dog is 3 years old (maybe only their little batteries suck).

Meh, I’d figure most tournament anglers use 29’s or 31’s.

i run 2 27's on the T-Motor, Minn Kota 80 lb- don't have room for 3rd battery.will run 2 days without recharge usually. have a 31 series for cranking to get the recommended 1000 cranking amps for an Optimax, and to run the Lowrance HDS 12 and 9. they consume a lot of power and if you have livewells running all day (hopefully !!!!) the 31 is a must.
