Minn Kota Riptide Ulterra - 01/25/18 06:23 PM

All I can say is this is a dream machine. Just made the first outing to give it a test run and it was perfect. Now let's see if it will hold up.

Thanks "Shut Up And Fish"!

I don’t have the riptide but just carried my ulterra to the shop for a repair that another authorized service center evidently did not fix correctly. I talked to the owner of the business about the longevity or issues with the ulterra. I figured he should know how well they hold up since he works on them. He told me that they were great units and he was going to add one to his boat. They are great, especially as you grow older and don’t enjoy bending over for the trolling motor all day.

I am getting older physically, still a 56 year old kid at heart, but stow/deploy is the greatest. No more yanking on a cord wondering is this the day it breaks and I go flying off the other side of the boat. I had the hand control type, so I was kicking and slapping that thing around all day trying to stay on fish and my back was done by the end of the day.

It was my pleasure assisting you with your trolling motor. Welcome back anytime....

Maybe I will bump into you on the Vine.

I hope so David. Then we can talk about how you're going to fix me up with new birds to go with my Ulterra.
