up or down?

my pontoon is in a boat slip year round on Grapevine Lake.my question is should i trim the motor up or down? im thinking trimmed down nothing will freeze as the lake water is warmer than the air? your thought?

Trim all the way down during freezing temps. Trim up in warmer weather.
