Squaw creek Charity tournament presented by Tackle Depot Saturday December 16th 2017 UPDATED!

Tackle Depot of Weatherford,TX Presents:

"FEED/FILL THE BOAT"
Charity tournament.

I will be hosting a "Open" tournament on Squaw Creek December 16th, 2017.

It will be a food/Toy drive benefiting The Center Of Hope Parker County.

When: Saturday December 16th. FROM WHEN THEY RELEASE US UNTIL 2PM.
FIRST CAST WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR SPOT.
LAST CAST AT 2 PM
SCALES WILL CLOSE AT 3PM

Where: Squaw Creek ( YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN RESERVATION)
Entry Fee: $150.00 PER TEAM OR SOLO. OPTIONAL $10.00 SIDE POT FOR BIG BASS

This will be a 85% Pay back at the ramp with the 15% going directly to the Center of Hope.

I will be only paying 3 spots for this event.

1st-50%
2nd-30%
3rd-20%

I will up at the Restrooms taking Donations, names and money down for the tournament.

I will start at 4:45AM

Tackle Depot will be donating a Gift card valued at $200.00 and two of the famous Hats that are very popular for the Raffle I will have.

If a team / solo person brings a new unwrapped toy AND any item from the food list below. you will be entered in to the drawing. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN.

we will give you a ticket and draw the name at weigh in.

I want to get as many boats as I can for this event!

It is that time of the year and there are people all over in need.

I picked the Center of Hope Parker County because I live in Weatherford / Parker county and they are focused on helping out people in need through out our county year round.

Growing up my mother, my two younger sisters and myself had very little, but my mother worked hard to give us what little we had. My sisters and I thought we we had it made!

I'm not ashamed to admit that places Like "Center of Hope" had helped my mother out when things got tough! She was single mother working a full time job with 3 kids!

Growing up and being raised to appreciate everything you have no matter how little you have
helped me become the man I am today.

I have been very blessed in my life the last several years and I know that God has been there every step of the way. That is why I have chosen to put this event on.

The Center of Hope has a great Philosophy on how they want to fight Poverty in our County. Please check out their website. http://www.centerofhopetx.com/

The Center of Hope does not have room for toys and appreciated my offer but suggested a few other places that would take them. ( I am in the process of getting a placed lined up to accept the toys for the kids and will update you).

If you cant make the tournament you can bring donated items up to the Tackle Depot store in Weatherford UP UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT. If you do this you can still receive a raffle ticket.

Not going to make it but I stopped by Tackle Depot and donated the 15% for the cause.

Yes, I will be there most of the day. Im not fishing. If you find yourself in weatherford one day this week, we are taking donations at the store up until friday the 15th.

All right The tournament is this weekend! lets make this a good turn out! I'll be at the bathrooms at 4:45 to start registration and take toys and food.

Sorry for the delay,

I was out of town shortly after the tournament.

First off I would like to thank everyone who showed up and fished this! without you it would not have been a success. So THANK YOU!!

we had 22 boats which brought the pot up to 3,300.00$

Big Bass had 20 boats for a total of 200.00$

we took 15% of the 3,300.00$ to donate to the Center Of Hope which came out to 495.00$

With the food and toy donations people also donated cash which totaled 535.00$
for a grand total of 1030.00$ that went to the Center of Hope!

The toys got donated to the Texas Pythian Home here in weatherford. So some Kiddos will be very happy come Christmas morining!!!

Borden and Hugh Won with 18 and change cashing in with 1400.00$

2nd and 3rd both bad 17 and change taking home 841.00 for 2nd place and 561.00 for 3rd place

Big Bass was a 5.45 pound fish.

The raffle winner was John Irwin.

I will be doing this again next year so keep an eye out for a date in November probably after thanksgiving.

I really appreciate everyone who showed up to fish and the people that donated outside of the tournament.
