I bought my wife 3 baitcasting combos for her birthday, first time out she caught 13 and I caught 1. I might just have to run the boat and livewells.

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 12/25/17 01:16 AM

I'm trying to get my wife into fishing with me. Can we fish just one tournament?
Posted By: lunker777

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 12/26/17 12:10 PM

Toofy, one can just fish 1 tourney, as long as its the first one you pay membership and tourney fee. Any tourney after that its membership fee and double fee on the tourney, just to protect us from jackpotters. The double fee will be used for that tourney and the next one will already be paid for. If you have questions just holler at me man. 817-597-1630.
Stump Monkey, why you hating? LOL

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 12/28/17 08:28 PM

What is the payout percentage on these tournaments? $140 entry and $50 registration fee seems high so it must pay pretty good I'm guessing

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 12/31/17 03:54 PM

Not hatin Bro You'll figure it out New screen name Old friend
Posted By: lunker777

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 12/31/17 04:36 PM

Not sure on the exact payout percentage (around 75%), but we average around 20 teams and the winner takes home $855 plus the other 3 teams winnigs and big bass. Membership is a 1 time fee, has nothing to do with payout per tourney.
If you must know I can get my wife to figure it out, she handles the paperwork (smart stuff). I just weigh in the fish. LOL

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 01/01/18 12:59 AM

Might of missed it but... can a couple fish any combination of the divisions? I.e. 3 lakes from the north and 3 from the metro?
Posted By: lunker777

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 01/01/18 05:00 PM

Once you have paid your membership fee, you can fish any lakes in any region. For your points for the C'ship and Top Six to count you have to have to designate a home region though. Your points are not transferable from one region to the next. Hope this helps, if not call me 817-597-1630 Lonny

Re: C.A.S.T North Region Schedule - 02/11/18 07:33 PM

Well, we had our first tourney for CAST North Region on Saturday Feb. 10th at Squaw Creek. Other than the fact mother nature didn't want to cooperate, it was a good time had by all. Mark and Sandi took 1st with 15.07 with overall big bass and ladies big bass of 4.72, 2nd place was new couple Spencer and Kimber with 11.58 and in 3rd with 11.04 was Stephen and Tracey. The $40 gift card for 4th went to Kendall and Pam. Thanks to all for hanging on with all the bad weather and not bad for a 1/2 day tourney. Look forward to seeing everyone at Lake Arlington on March 3rd.

lot of fish caught by others LOL.
I'm hard headed and stuck to my deep ways and only got to use that anchor feature on the new ultrex once for the lonely fish I caught.

I'll let you know.
Im glad the water will still be some what cold, the lake is a nightmare during the warm months.

Yeah, to me, the fish seemed to be schooled really tight. My daughter lost a fish on her second cast on an unprotected point (boy was it cold, and Dad didn't have the net out), and we proceeded to go biteless for over 2 hours. Idling our way up north to a protected cove, and on the way picked up one on a crankbait, then another two casts later in the same place. Floated over where they were hitting, and it was a tangle of short brush in about 9' of water, with the brush about 3' below the surface. Switched to a worm, and wore 'em out until we were told to get off the lake. That area couldn't have been more than 10' wide and 50' long. They were stacked in there.
