Mineral Wells Open at Squaw Creek 11-24-17

We wanted to get it in your head early this year. We need to raise some money again for the Children's Charity's of Palo Pinto County. This is our 4th year for this event. Please come out and help raise some money for some needy kids to have something for Christmas.

Start fishing as soon as you get on the water and be in line by 3:00 pm
November 24, 2017 - this is Black Friday
Entry Fee : $80 per boat
(70% payout)
$10 Optional Big Bass (100% Payout on the big bass)
You can pre-register with any board of director member of the Mineral Wells Bass Club
Or you can simply register at the front by the restrooms - No refunds due to weather
Prizes (Based on a Field of 25 Boats)
1st. Place - $700
2nd. Place - $420
3rd Place - $280

Squaw Creek Rules apply
All – Texas Parks and Wildlife Regulations will also apply. Only one rod at a time may be used. No trolling with a combustion engine. No live bait allowed.
This is a two team person event, but you can fish alone. There is a 5 fish limit. You must begin culling after the 6th fish is boated. All fish must be 14” minimum. Any dead fish will result in a 1/2 pound penalty per fish.
Life Jackets and Kill Switches are mandatory.
By paying you are assuming all responsibility and you are responsible for your own actions. Mineral Wells Bass Club and the Tournament Director are not responsible for the actions or liability incurred by any angler.

Just wanted to say I have received several calls and emails about how to sign up, best way is to just show up early, I will be stationed up front before you go into the gate to pay at the restrooms in a big black 4 door 4wd GMC Truck. Im not 100% sure if the YOUNG GENTLEMEN and I do mean Gentlemen is with your club or not but I want to post this THANK YOU.
To: the 2 young men in the DEEP RED CHAMPION, we didnt get their names and they wouldnt give me an address but one of them is from Godley
WE THANK YOU WITH ALL OUR HEARTS for helping us today. You are a TRUE BLESSING and we couldnt have done it without you. Please know your time from your tournament was deeply appreciated. We know in tournaments not everyone, and these days young people wouldnt give you the time of day.
I hope God blessed you with the biggest bass and stringer.

To the Club... these 2 gentleman were our guardian angels today. We were quiet a distance from the ramp when we were trying to move to a new location and our starting battery died..( all 4 batteries were replaced less than a month ago). We asked them if they had jumpers, they replied no sir. We started trying to move cables to another battery, they came over to our boat to assist. The one from Godley that Jeannetta was talking to held their champion next to our gambler, while the other young man got on board and took over exchanging batteries, cables etc. we finally got it started and made it to ramp. IF these 2 men are part of your club you are very fortunate. We just wanted everyone to know how much we appreciate their help and how they blessed us during a their tournament fishing time. May God bless each of you and especially these 2 special men.

Results?

When I left 19 something was winning and 2 sacks for 18 something is 2nd and 3rd.. Caught a lot of fish today but the biggest for us wad 4 lbs. We had 16.92 lbs. I think we caught around 40 to 50 fish.

Third was 18.8
Fourth was 18.1 who also had big bass of 6.8
5th weekend in a row we have caught over 50 fish, squaw is on fire!
Big thanks to all who fished. We ended up with 35 teams and raised $840 for the palo pinto kids charities.
And one more thanks to the folks at Squaw Creek. One of our members had a flat, and they fixed it for him in their shop.

Awesome! Lots of good folks that fish this lake glad to hear you made it back to the ramp!
