Attention local Anglers! ABA District 112 is proud to announce we are teaming up with Faith Mission in Wichita Falls to host a charity tournament in August on Lake Arrowhead! This a great charity to be involved with and we are proud to be apart of this event! Mark your calenders!!

Faith Mission of Wichita Falls to benefit from the “FAITH BASS TOURNAMENT
Wichita Falls, TX. Local Anglers will descend on Lake Arrowhead’s Hippy Beach at 5am on August 5, 2017 in support of the first annual “Faith Bass Tournament” fund raiser.
Faith Mission is a Faith based homeless shelter with a vibrant drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. The program assists men with dependency issues through recovery, spiritual instruction and job training. Once a “programmer” graduates from the 13 month program they have between $3-5k in the bank. They are then assisted in finding housing, a vehicle and a job. Essentially, Faith Mission helps to put homeless men back into the work-force. The Mission accepts no government funds and is solely funded through private grants, individual donations and fund raising efforts. That is where the “Faith Bass Tournament” comes in.
Faith Mission Site Director, Clay A. Kahler, an avid bass angler himself, is the tournament organizer. District 112 of the America Bass Angler’s will be partnering with Faith Mission for the event. Kahler said, “The Bass fishing community has really come together to help make this event a success. We have already received donations from Major League Fishing; Mega Bass; Bruiser Baits and several others for prizes,”
The tournament entry fee will be $50 per angler and all of the proceeds will go to Faith Mission. Typical tournament rules will apply and there will be prizes awarded to the top three anglers, with assorted “door prizes.” Keeping his cards close to his vest, Kahler said, “there are some other surprises instore for the day, but we’re just not ready to unveil them yet.”
Kahler and District 112 of the ABA encourage Texoma anglers “to mark their calendars and come fish with us.”
