Who's fishing this? Any words of wisdom about the tourney or general things to think about before the tournament kicks off? Not looking for fishing spots/advice or anything, just general info on the tournament itself as well as who on here may be out there as well.

Deep points, road beds, humps, pond damns, creek channels I would stay out anywhere from 15-30 feet.

be sure and bring a toy to help fill the boat for the kids Christmas and get you an entry into the drawing. Try and get there Friday to get registered, trying to register Saturday a.m. is difficult (not impossible - we had to last year). There were 900+ last year, so the lake is crowded, be patient. Weigh-in your unders...their paying out several places each hour. Bar-b-que saturday is good but it will be crowded, bring you a small cooler to carry Saturday evening to carry a few drinks. but all else, just have fun, Skeeter and Bass Champs put on a great weekend!

Do all participants have to own a skeeter or can an owner have a non-owner in his boat?

only skeeter boats allowed im sure some non-boaters don't even own a boat or own a different brand.

Don't have to own a skeeter to fish but you do have to be fishing with a skeeter owner in a skeeter. The year I almost won the dang thing a guy won it and didn't even own a boat. This will be out 7th year in a row to fish it. We look forward to it every year. Depending on which ramp you are using you may want to launch early. We always launched way early right at 4:45am I believe was the earliest you could get on the water. Bring a radio with you on the water so you can tune into 99.9 and listen to the hourly weigh in updates. Most of all have fun! There will be the baddest arse Skeeters out there flying up and down the boat lanes putting on a show and there will be some oldie but goodie Skeeter's out there which are very cool too! DONT FORGET TO LOOK FOR YELLOW DUCKS!

I will be going as well, there is a marina in little caney that doesn't get as much traffic as the public or ramp at lake fork marina, I usually use the one at mustang lodge and its right around the corner from the weigh in
