The University of Texas' first annual Longhorn Invitational was a success! We had 21 teams fish in the tournament and had a total of 94 fish weighed in at a total of 325.70lbs of Largemouth. Derek Mangold and Blake Crabb from Texas A&M Corpus Christi took home the victory with a total of 26.79lbs! They also brought in the Big Bass of the day weighing in at 11.26lbs. Mangold and Crabb were awarded $1300 and a brand new HDS 5 Gen2 for first place and also picked up another $360 for Big Bass! The complete results are shown below.
The Texas Bass Team would like to thank Gary Pender and the Tracker Marine in Austin staff, Greg Riddle at Shoreline Boat and RV Repair, Collins Illich atTemple Fork Outfitters, Brandon Dickenson at Costa Del Mar, Trey Epich at Shimano, and Wade Middleton at Careco TV for sponsoring the event. It definitely would not have been the awesome event it was without your time, help, and donations!
