The third event of the Bass Pro Shop Grapevine Series will be on Sunday April 7th as the series returns to the Vine. Registration, angler check-in and boat inspection will open at 5:00am at the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine. Angler's will be allowed to proceed to the ramp of their choice after registering. First cast will be at 7:00am, and last cast at 3:00pm. Weigh-in will be held at Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine. All angler's must be checked in at the tanks no later than 4:00pm.

They were spawning in tires until a cable broke, looks like they were starting to drift towards the dam Saturday..totally messed up my pattern. But seriously, a group of about 25 tires broke free.

Please excuse my ignorance here, I am new to these bigger tournaments. I noticed in the rules for this series that random polygraphs can be administered. I participated in the first two tournaments, but didn't hear of anyone getting called to take a random polygraph. Are the polys just used in the championship events?

Just trying to understand the system. I fully support random polys at every event, but I know they are really expensive.

I think if there is a protest then a polygraph may be administered.. It has never come up to the best of my knowledge

The random polygraph is used at my discretion, and I do not announce when and where I use it. I could poly at every event, but that would require us to raise the entry fee's. This series as well as the Garland Series has been designed 100% around our angler's feedback. If the majority of the anglers that compete at our events would like to see the poly, then we could easily implement that, but we would need to raise the entry fee to cover the cost. Based on our angler feedback, the majority have requested to keep the entry fee's affordable.

Coangler looking to fill a backseat! Will pay 85% of entry fee.

I have an older boat and will have a backseat open but would rather be a coangler. If I am boater I will not pay 85%.

The Searchers and I had 21.96 legal including one under and 16.5" Smallmouth. Just couldn't get a 5th over. About 3-4 unders and 6-8 slots. I certainly think there will be a few teams with 5 overs. Think I just blew our luck for Sunday catching my Grapevine PB today.

are they the guys that stuck to dam all day? we went to dam for only about 20 minutes later in day, just caught one slot so got out of there. you think we would have hit the dam all day again like Lewisville, but I was stuborn after catching a 6 and 8 in a single cove Thursday. how crowded was Twin Coves today? we never hit north side, but I was predicting Twin Coves would get pounded. Also, how bad did the waves get north side? we just ran south side and even 100 yards off shore it was choppy.

Absolutely incredible day today as the angler's threw down on the Vine. Price and Barrington's series record setting limit was insane, 8.89 kicker and a 4.04 smallie!! What a bag!! This season has been fantastic as we have had new records on both the Vine and the Lew.

My internet is down and I will be posting final results and recap in the morning. Thanks to all of the anglers for fishing the series and for all of the fans at weigh-in !!!!!

Rob twin coves had quite a few boats in it. As for the drive it was not bad coming back across the lake. You got a big boat just got to trust and take it slow. You will be fine.

BTW congrats to Price and barrington. That is an absolute monster sack.

Looks like an incredible day by top 4. Are all the metro lakes giving up 25 to 30 pound bags this year? Seems like a lot of big fish and big bags are being caught. Is this because the pre spawn is being stretched this year with below average temps?
