We will be starting on mar. 20. tournament will be from 6pm till 9pm. lake is off limits day of tourn. entry fee 25 with 5 opt. big bass pot. this is a team tourn. but u may fish solo if u wish. 5 fish limit 14 inch min. lenght, if u bring in short fish entire stringer disqualified. see u at the lake

No more than 2 fisherman in any boat. 6.00 per. boat (opitinal) 6 Lb. or over bass pot. 1 to 8 boats pays 1 place, 9-15 boats 2 places, 16 or more boats 3 places. is the ramp at Lake Pat better than alvarado's?

Yes it is better the lake is low but IMO the ramp is alot better their no BIG holes in Pat's ramp.

Been to both ramps and yes they are low but you can launch fine at either,just stay to the left at Alvarado.

Who all is going to be at Alvarado. Was going to fish worth this year but might have to talk my partner in to fishing this instead. Maybe we can get some rain so the ramp good all summer and get the reeds back in the water.

I would love to join but my boats a little one and not ready yet , so if someone would have a back seat it'd be cool , i really would love to have someone that really knows what there doing to give me some pointers and it sucks living 5 mins from the lake and not going all the time.

we had a great 1st night. 1st place marti and steve 5 fish 16.00lb with 5.24 kicker. 2nd places mike and travis with 4 fish for 14.39lbs with BB at 7.71lbs. 3rd john and tony with 5 fish for 12.51 lbs. 4th chris and charlie 4 fish 7.04lbs. fishing should just get better in coming weeks. remember lake is off limits day of tourn.

It's only off limits to people entering the tournament that evening. If you want to fish Wednesday during the day, go ahead. Just don't enter the Wednesday evening tournament.

fishing a little more difficult with water temp. 8 degrees cooler than last week. 1st place john and tony 3 fish 7.40lbs, 2nd place justin and matt 3 fish 5.51lbs, BB chris and charlie 3.17lbs. cleburne bass club will be having open team tourn. this sunday 7 till 1:30 fishing should heat up.

Been fishing these tournaments on this lake for about 12 years great small lake,and almost always catch some quality fish.This is the first year i have noticed a few fishermen dont respect your fishing area.Twice i could have boarded another boat from my boat because they were so close. Its pretty sad. Just because its a small night tournament doesnt mean the rules go out the window.Again this doesnt apply to all just a few dissrespectful fisherman.Most of the guys out there are great in the "sportsmanship"catagory,but as always its just takes one or two to ruin the evening.Hope to see a few more out there.Good fishing to all except those that cant find there own spots

tourn. is from 6pm till 9pm. weigh in is from 9pm till 9:15pm. do not bring dead fish to weigh in this will disquilify your stringer. you are allowed 5 fish 14 inch min. no short fish. you may ask for courtesy check on fish length before weighing stringer. after u submit stringer for weigh-in and any fish are found to be short all fish are disqualified. be courtious to other anglers and do not crowd their fishing spot if they are on it before u.

What happened with the tournament last night. We were fishing in it and pulled off at about 8. Just wondering if they finished it or if our entry fee's will carry over to next week.

We all loaded up about 830 think they weighed a few fish. Good call to get off the lake got bad in that area shortly after we left. Went by this morning lake is up to the guard rails on the ramp. Hope everyone in the area made it through without any damage, but think god for the lake catching some water.

How was it last night?

Had a huge turn out but fishing was tough. Most guys only weighed 2 fish. The guys that won weighed 4 fish and BB was around 4 lbs.

Very well put. I too have noticed the lack of cooth of some of the people fishing those tournaments on that lake. I could name names but I won't. I have fished a few of the tournaments this year and more than 3 times I have caught fish and another boat casts right where I caught the fish while I am reeling it in. That's just plain disrespectful. For one its unsportsmanlike and second their boat was too close to begin with!! There needs to be some rules and consequences for those that fish like that. Just like the lake is off limits the day of the tournament. Let give everybody their space and enjoy this sport! It's a small finicky lake and the fish are scattered so there is plenty of room. It's bad enough we have to deal with the inconsiderate water skiers n wake boarders... We shouldn't have frustrations with our fellow fishermen!! Set them hooks n have fun!! See y'all on the water!!

Fishing was tough for us too. Caught a bunch of short fish early on and thought man it's gonna be a good night. Shortly after that thought came to mind they shut off!! Didn't get another fish the rest of the night. Don't know what the deal is with that lake. Heard on guy saying they were still spawning... Well I doubt that. But I don't know what the heck is going on. I heard that 4 or 5lbs won it though so I think it was tough for everyone. Maybe next week will be better!!

Yes it was tough we got 3rd (I think )with 4.10 lbs ,we only caught 6 fish with 2 keepers , but still had good turn out paid 4 places I believe .

I would love to fish this tournament but have never fished one before. I live in Burleson so this would work out really well for me and my partner. Is this an every wednesday event? Who do i need to talk to to be able to fish in it? Do i just need to show up at the ramp on wednesday?

Yes just show up at ramp , there is also one at Cleburne lake on Tuesday night same thing just show up at ramp.

Was at Alvie on Saturday and looks like the lake is turning over. Lot of short fish early with close keepers.

I fished it Sunday and did notice the lake was an odd color. Fishing has gotten better than it has been the past week n a half. Still a bunch of short fish but managed to bring in a few keepers. So it's looking up.

Same here today had 3 keepers in about 2 1/2 hours of fishing

so who's gonna be fishing tomorrow, I've been waiting all week for it!

There were a couple of sacks close to ten. BB was over five a decent amount of fish caught.

We are fishing until 9:30 now due to it getting dark later.

I believe a bit over 8 lbs took first over 5 took 2cd n 4.04 took 3rd. 1st place was one big monster fish!!

8.76 first and BB 2nd was 5.42.... Both one fish stringers. Not sure about 3rd.

You can launch whenever you want, just don't cast a line till after shotgun start.

Where do I pay fee etc? I live the area but usually used Pat Lake for bass fishing until recently started using Alvarado and have very little experience on this lake - I have my own boat but wouldn't mind riding along as partner with someone who needs a partner on one of the tournaments to get a feel for how things are done since I've never fished in a tournament before.

I wanted to thank those that were told that there were two people stuck out on the water with fish for just ingoring it and leaving us stranded out on the lake, especially since our big bass was easily 3.5 pounds. I've been fishing this night tournament for months and most everyone has been good people, but not untrailering to come help a fellow boater is pathetic. Not sure if it got back to the peron taking the money, but if it did; as a tournament directer it is your reponsibility to ensure that all your participants are off the water.

I am completely astonished that everyone would let this happen, especially since we made a call in to someone prior to 9:30 and again at 9:36 stating that we had fish and asking to at least get someone to come pick up our fish. As a tournament fisherman, I would stop in the middle of a tournament to help someone out especially at small tournaments like the wed night workingmans. If you didn't hear about us being stranded,then this isn't aimed at you and you shouldn't be offended. As for those of you that did and didn't do anything, you should be ashamed of yourself. The first rule of boating is never leave a stranded boater, you never know if he is having motor trouble or taking on water. If it hadn't been for Mr. Reed, we wouldn't have gotten back to the dock until who knows when, thanks Mr. Reed I appreciate you sticking around and helping us out. I hope everyone the best, not sure if I will be back after this display of comraderie from everyone. A word of advice for the director of this tournament, at at minimum, you should post give out your phone number to participants to allow for them to get in contact when in trouble on the water.

I shouldn't even reply to this but what the heck. I was the lucky one that was called wed night and I did announce to everybody at the weigh in twice that there was a stranded boat on the lake. Twice I announced it!! Yes I could have waited back in line and unloaded my boat again to go render aid, but my thoughts were, it's a small lake they have a trolling motor and no mention was made during the phone calls that the boat was taking on water. As I said I mentioned it at the weigh it twice. My bad maybe I should have taken on the responsibility myself.

Another thought that comes to mind is this does not appear to be a safety type issue but more of a I could have won the tournament had I made the weigh in cut off time. It is not the directors responsibly to make sure that all the boats are off the water in time for wiegh in... It is our own. Sometimes $h1t happens weather it's mechanical failure or just bad luck. That does not make it every other fisherman on the lakes fault. It could happen to anyone at anytime. Just move past it and fish on. No reason to not fishing the tournament or give up fishing in general or even call people out on a forum. It's a shame that your boat broke and you may of had the winning sack and I know you feel that people in general let you down. It's a part of life an you gotta move on bro. Don't let the incident make you decide to give up the sport that your are obviously passionate about. Just get out there n win the next one!! Hope to see you out there soon!! ---sack

here is my phone # 817-475-0641. most of the time I do not carry my phone on water usually in the event of bad weather so I can try to keep the guys from getting caught in it. mike stated at weigh-in he was going back to help u. how much more help do u need. it is YOUR responsibility to be at weigh-in on time. sorry u had trouble. it happens to us all, usually at the worst time. this is a good group of guys fishing this tourn. and I think most would do what they can to help. we have had lost keys, broke motors, bad weather and missed weigh-in deadline. no complaining till now

A guy that fishes on wed night with us also fished alot of FLW evvents and he has trailed another fisherman and there fish to a weigh in before... and has needed it done also... basically through the torny fee away because a hose broke.. noone wants to pay any money to go fish a torny and have there boat brake with good fish in the live well and be expected to just sit it out...

What won last night? We didn't have anything to weigh in and there was no place to park after we pulled the boat out so we just left. Let us know please.

+1, nothing worse than being stranded on the water. Can't get out and walk! Been there before and I will always give assistance on the water.

Never been on this lake. How does it fish? Don't see much cover on google earth. Any big fish or just a bunch of small ones?

It's a finicky lake. Has some big bass in it. Lots of Reid's and a few decent points, boat docks and of course the damn. It gets a huge amount of pressure but when it's on it is a lot of fun. Come out n check it out.
