2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 12/09/12 02:55 PM

Something new for 2013 is the GUARANTEED payout for the top three places regardless of entries - $3,500 for 1st place, $1,500 for 2nd place and $1,250 for 3rd place at each regular season event! Additional places will be paid one place per seven boats. Entry fee is $150 per team; if fishing with a youth under the age of 18 entry is $100 per team! TTZ averaged 85 boats in 2012 and we hope to reach 100 teams in 2013. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Lake Travis Jan 26!

We will monitor the lake levels for the April 13 tournament; if we need to change locations due to low lake levels details will be announced at the March 16 tournament and will be posted on ttz1.com. 2 day $10,000 Championship will be scheduled in the fall.

Official rules, sample payout matrix and online registration will be posted to the site soon.

Also stay tuned for more news on the Skeeter Real Money contingency program, we are working with Skeeter to sanction every TTZ tournament from our $40 Tuesday and Wednesday Nighters to our Trail events and open tournaments! Increased payouts at grassroots events means more money for you in a qualified Skeeter!

Looking forward to having you Mr. Holding! It is going to be a great season, we have an awesome customer base and we try to make the tournament experience as fun as possible.

After all, most of us weekend anglers are just out there to have some good competative fun, meet some new people and hopefully walk away with a little beer money.

I really hate that 2 of your dates conflict with the south 40 shoot out. I would like to fish this trail but I also have already paid entry for south 40.

Dink Pearson park and Pace Bend are by far the best options.

If you're looking for a tournament with great payouts (as shown above)very well run and just a great group of folks. I encourage you to come out and give the TTZ Trail a try! Also if wanting to pull your son or daughter away from Xbox 360 for awhile, what better way?! With only $100 entry fee for youth/adult teams! See you on the water!

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 01/14/13 03:02 PM

Jalapeno and cheese venison sausage from the Buck Stops Here will be served at the weigh-in on Travis and we'll have plenty of ice cold Lone Star on hand for everyone.

We also needed a new grill this year and thanks to Baker Triangle we'll have this bad boy cooking at all our tournaments!

If you like bass fishing and tailgating be sure to check us out this year.

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 01/15/13 02:22 PM

Travis isn't that much further than Choke for us SA boys, and LBJ and Lake Austin may be even a little closer for those that live near 281 or I-35.
With those kind of guaranteed payouts, free beer, and no tournaments on Choke this year, you guys will probably be pulling some south boys and they know how to catch some big sacks. Watch out!

TTZ Travis Friday Night Launch

Due to the lack of public ramps on Lake Travis we will allow you to launch and immediately beach your boat Friday evening at Tournament Point. We hope this will help alleviate some of the traffic Saturday morning and make it easier on everyone.

We will be setting up Friday afternoon and staying the night so look for the RVs and our weigh trailer at Tournament Point and you'll be fine…should be hard to miss with the SuperNova lights. Launching off the bank has been favorable but we'll have plenty of 4wd vehicles with tow straps to assist with launching and loading and will leave no one stuck come tournament day.

As an added bonus, we've secured live entertainment for Friday evening as well! Chris Manning will be there to play a few songs, not sure if he knows the lyrics to Matt Warren's "Farm Love" but from what I hear he's pretty dang good on the guitar. Plus he's in a Zeppelin tribute band so bring your beer, or drink ours, and make it a weekend to remember!

More info about the artist available here: http://chris-manning.com/index.php

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 01/20/13 09:27 PM

I'll be there on Friday to mark the launch area . Super Nova Lights will Be a Becon to the water . If you don't know what they are go to Super Nova Lights . com . We are launching on Fri. night to make room for people showing on Sat am . I will be assisting with 4wd and a tow strap . Show up early on Fri and stay late . DG TTZ

Launching off the bank has been good at both Tournament Point and Dink Pearson, spoke to several anglers this weekend who said they were launching and loading in 2wd and it was a piece of cake.

See y'all Saturday!

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 01/28/13 05:02 PM

If you didn't make it out to the Travis event be sure to attend the LBJ event on 2/16/2013. Great times were had by all this weekend and the next event promises to be even better. Remember fishing 3 out of the 4 events makes you eligable for the 2 day championship with a $10,000 payday to the winner! Thank you to all the anglers that made the first event of the year a great sucess!

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 01/28/13 09:28 PM

What a weekend. Still amazed at the turnout, but things went off without a hitch.

Sadly, I will be in Chicago for a wedding the weekend of LBJ, so my partner will be flying solo. I am not sure if I am more upset about missing the tournement or the crawfish boil the night before!

Only 11 days until LBJ! I had a blast at Travis and met alot of new faces. Looking forward to meeting more and having a great time. There will be a crawfish boil the night before the tournament at the Cottonwood ramp. So come out for some mud bugs and a couple of coldies and see what TTZ is all about!

P.S. You still have a chance to qualify for the championship by fishing 3 out of the 4 events. Guaranteed $10,000!! See you at LBJ!

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 02/21/13 09:56 PM

Austin, 3/16/13

If I could only fish one tournament in 2013, it would be this one. There is some major toad potential and with it being full fledged spawn, it will be anyone's game.

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 03/04/13 06:31 PM

Lake Austin is less than two weeks away...the big girls are moving up. This bag from last Saturday weighed nearly 46 lbs...these are the type of fish that will be on beds on March 16th. Going to be a blast out there.

TTZ April 13 Tournament Changed to Lake Travis

Due to extremely low lake levels the last stop of the regular season for the 2013 TTZ Trail on April 13, 2013 will move from Lake Buchanan to Lake Travis.

Lake Buchanan has dropped to a near 27 year low and is currently at 991.62 feet; at this level launching areas are extremely limited and boating conditions may be hazardous to anglers unfamiliar with the lake.

Bump for the 13th on Travis, the season has flown by!

We are expecting another great turnout and as always, the beer will be flowing and the company will be great.

Re: 2013 TTZ Trail Schedule - Central Texas Highland Lakes - 04/19/13 01:20 PM

Congrats to Charles Whited and Steve Magnelia for winning the last regular season tournament of the TTZ Trail on Lake Travis with 17.27 pounds. Charles also received $7,000 in incentive money for fishing out of a qualifying boat that increased their total winnings to $10,800!

Complete results are posted here: http://ttz1.com/results/ttz-trail-travis-41313/

The regular season flew right by us and we'd like to sincerely thank everyone that fished with us and helped us become one of the largest team trails in Texas, we averaged 85 teams in 2012 and significantly increased the field by over 50% to draw an average of 130 teams in 2013! We have several months to plan the Championship party on Lake Travis in October so stay tuned to the site for more details.

In the meantime, we’ll be running the Wednesday Night Tournament on Lake Austin through the summer and into early fall so come on out and join us...there’s big fish to be caught and plenty of opportunities to win Skeeter Real Money out of a qualifying Skeeter!

We paid out $3,580 to the winners of the March 27 Wed Nighter

http://ttz1.com/results/ttz-austin-wed-night-32713-2/

and recently awarded this week's winners an extra $1,000 bringing their total winnings to $1,510...not too shabby for a 3.5 hour $40 weeknight tournament!

http://ttz1.com/results/ttz-austin-wed-night-41713-2/

It definitely pays to fish TTZ out of a Skeeter!
