Juniors 15 and under can fish free with a payed adult to complete for a rod and reel.

Hey mark your calendar for May 5th.

I had a good time fishing this last year. They had a lot of good prizes.

It should be good, the lake is putting out some big fish.

At the moment all the ramps are closed at Whitney. With more rain expected Tuesday thru Thursday is the plan to still have the tournament?

where did you hear this? I called Friday and they were still open. I know McCown Valley was open.

Multiple people, Hamm Creek park ranger, Clay Yadon a lake Whitney striper guide, and 2 other guys.

Lofers West was open Saturday

I just got off the phone with Corps office and 3 Ramps are open... Lofers west, Steele Creek and McCown Valley. She did say the lake was still going up so they might close also..

Texas Water Data show the lake level a little over 4' high and falling a couple inches a day. 4' high for Whitney ain't nothing.

The club will be down taking entries Saturday May 4th from 12;30 pm to around 9 pm and 4:30 am Sunday May 5th to 6;00 am.
Harbor master ramp and McGowan, still creek ramps or open. Come on down

I had a couple reports from this morning saying that the lake is in great shape color wise on the lower end and in the creeks. Fish were biting in the flooded brush, mostly on plastics but a few on square bills and such. I have no news from the river end.

The tournament is out of Harbor Master and that ramp is open. Is a single lane ramp so be patient in the morning.
