Ray Roberts Tuesday Nighters

I got word they are going to start back up tonight, out of the state park starting at 6. Come on out! These will be going on every Tuesday from now on also.

Can you post some more information on the Tuesday evening Ray Roberts tournament? Price, north or South Park, five fish limit, team or solo, etc

State park- 30 bucks - solo or team - take off at 6pm usually till dark- 3 fish limit

Has Barrett been banned yet? I think all the fish in that lake look for his boat and just jump in to talk to him

Due to the lake being off limits this week for TTO we will not be having the tournament tonight. We will be back up and going next Tuesday as usual.

New to the area...but what is the "State Park" ramp? Is that off Jordan Moore?

The state park ramp is off FM 455... if you are coming from I-35, it is east of 35, if you are coming from 377, it is west of there

Not going to make this one...but I'll be at future ones. Is there a fee at this ramp? Or just the yearly permit needed?

You can do either or, I think it’s $7 for a daily fee or $70 yearly which get you access to all the state parks in Texas.

How many boats y’all getting on average every week?

It has been decent so far. I believe somewhere between 9 to 12 boats have been showing up. We will be there tonight. Out of the marina from now on though.

12 or so. They switched it from state park to the sanger marina ramp so I expect those numbers to go down because not everyone will know that its going out of a new ramp.

Sorry I am just seeing this. Yes it is out of the ramp next to the marina. Sanger Access I believe is what its called. Entry fee is $30 dollars that includes big bass. We will be there tonight starting @6.

How was turnout? Winning weight?

Its been pretty low on turnout. Not sure what the issue is there. But we had 8 boats I believe. 12lbs won.

I need to start making this work in my schedule...If I didn't work in Lewisville, I'd be all over this. The drive time kills me.

It’s hard to get a tournament going on Roberts. I’ve tried a few times myself and one time I’d have 20-25 boats and the next one I’d have 3. Roberts is a awesome lake...

I live on the Lake but work in Carrollton which makes a 6:00 PM start time very tough. I would love to play, going to try to get off a little early and get out there. Sanger ramp correct?

I hear you. I live north of the lake and worked in Fort Worth for years. Luckily I keep my boat in storage right by the jordan park boat ramp so i can get out there and on the water easily.

We will be out there tonight starting @6.

Wish I could go, but my trolling motor has been in the shop for 2 weeks. Maybe next Tuesday..........

How’s the turnout?

Not good. Have only had 3 or 4 boats the last few weeks.

The heat and school starting has to play a part in this...

My son and I will be there this coming tuesday 8/27, dont give up yet..

As soon as we switched ramps the turnout started going downhill. Most guys fish the east side of the lake. We are launching at one of the furthest ramps from where everyone fishes. It doesn't help the turnout. I did however enjoy the Tuesday nighters this year. Its about to be fall and thats hunting season for me.

what won last night?

When Randell changed the take-off ramp location it did change things up, like Barrett said. It is hard to justify fishing a 3-3.5 hrs tournament when you've gotta run across the lake twice from West side ramps when you mainly fish the East side. I understand why Randell changed it, the wait at the state park entrance is/can be a pain in the butt.

Here's a thought for next year:
Alternate the take-off ramp.
On EVEN calendar Tuesday dates we take-off from Jordan.
On ODD calendar Tuesday dates we take-off from Sanger side.
