Lewisville Friday night working mans!

Starting May 4th 2018 and continues every Friday night through summer.
We will be at ramp around 5:30pm

Tower Bay Boat Ramp
6:30pm-10:30pm (shotgun start at 6:30)
3 fish
$40 for team 
$30 for single
We pay 1 place per 7 boats

All lake rules and regulations apply. Life jackets MUST be worn when the boat is on plane and the kill switch must be working and attached!

Weigh in will start at 10:15pm and weigh in line closes at 10:30pm.
As long as you're in line before 10:30pm and weigh in goes on past 10:30pm your fish will be weighed.
If you show up after 10:30pm your fish will not be weighed..

All boats entered are subject to a live well check.

In the rare case there's a tie, the money may be split or y'all can have a chicken fight in the lake, best of 3 takes it. It will be your choice.

Had 20 boats tonight, paid 3 places. 3rd was Childers with 10.18lbs second was Jim and Kyle with 11.05. First was Daniel and Charles with 25.46 and a 10.96 kicker for big bass. See y'all next week

Any news on last weeks weights 6/15?

My unofficial recollection of the 6-15-18 weights are as follows (again, this is just what I think I recall from the weigh in, Im sure I may be off a few tenths of a pound here or there)

1st - little over 12.5 pounds, also had big bass at around 6.5 pounds i believe
2nd - 11.74 pounds

not sure on the others.

On average how many boats have been going out each week?

I havent fished one of these yet but was out there a few weeks ago on a friday after work and there were a good number of boats at the ramp waiting for takeoff. Not sure on specific numbers.

How many boats are participating?

I believe 15 to 20 boats is a pretty consistent number. Last week winning weight was 18 then 11 and I am not sure from there. Big bass was 8 something.

I wanted to fish it but work got in the way. How was the turn out and weights? Thanks

The fishing was tough last night. At 10 pm I had 3 in the box for about 8.5lbs, threw em back and went home. Heard 17 won. Looked like about 15 boats

If I had 8.5 to weigh in last Friday night and I knew I was in areas where the fish should be there’s no way I’d throw those fish back and go home. It was tough for all but ONE boat that night and a 6.5 pounder knocked us out of third. We had a feeling most people were struggling and we were right. I wouldn’t have made that call to bail but to each his own.

I’ve won this tournament before on 1 little dink fish so don’t throw them back you never know...

We had 15 boats and it took a bit over 17lbs to win Friday night.

3 or 4 boats stayed behind and fished last night. I’d like to know how they did and if they got puked on by the big cell heading towards Lew?

4 boats stayed behind and we fished until 8. We really didn't get dumped on, it was a fairly sustained rain but never dangerous. Winner of the mini hour tournament had a fish about 16 inches. Everybody else caught a bunch of dinks.

Do you have an idea how many more nights this will happen? And what ramp? And can you launch from another?

Sorry for the questions, and know its late in summer, but just got a boat and trying to learn lake and thought this might be a good way.

This weekend will be the last Friday night we will be going to Saturday mornings on oct 5 from 7am- 12. You have to launch from tower bay.

Is the mandatory launching from tower bay a new rule? I have fished it quite a few times and this is the first I have heard that launching from tower bay is mandatory.

Curious on the mandatory boat launch also. My boat storage is king bros and the park next door has a free boat ramp. We usually launch there and drive to tower bay. Plus it’s a 2 minutes drive to put the boat away.

You are free to launch at any boat ramp, you will need to come to tower bay to sign up and have live wells checked. This will be our last Friday night, we will move to Saturday Mornings starting October 6th from 7am to around noon. We plan on having these every Saturday unless another tournament is on there the same day. I will start a new thread for the Saturday morning tournaments.
