Conejos River, Colorado Fly Fishing

We filmed the stonefly hatch on the Conejos River in June and here are the results.

This river has fewer, but the biggest fish in the state. I would consider it a Trophy Trout Fishery. 5 pounds and up.

Great scenery, great fishing, few people. The conejos rocks!

Spent four days on the Rio Conejos (Rabbit River) earlier this month with three TU buddies. Large browns, rainbows and even a fine-spotted cutthroat were caught on small nymphs and dries, big streamers and stoneflies. Gorgeous setting, great water, no small fish.
