No significant monetary value, but if you have never flyfished they would certainly suffice to get you started.

You can fish with either, but if you want to learn, it will be easier with a better setup. The Shakespeare rod is fishable, but a graphite will give you a better experience than a glass rod. The reel is about as basic as you can get with no anti-reverse or drag. It is a thumb buster on a big fish. You can probably pick up a similar setup on eBay for between $20 and $50. The bamboo rod is more of a vintage setup. They can be hard to fish and often break when you use them. The value can vary wildly depending on brand and condition. You can find them on eBay from $20 to hundreds of dollars.

Take out the Shakespeare and give it a try. When you catch one you may be hooked. There are some great fly fishing opportunities in Texas.
