Brown Trout Guadalupe River Below Canyon Lake

Has anyone caught any brown trout in the Guadalupe River below Canyon Lake in the last couple of years?

Yes. Last time I was there we did a float trip. We caught more browns than bows. This was last year. Flows were around 500.

I personally have not seen any Brown Trout caught on the Guadalupe but have heard from other anglers who have caught them this year!

Thanks for the information. I headed down to the Guadalupe below Canyon and was told by the guides that they did not release browns this year. Only a couple of anglers had caught a brown all year long. My wife and I caught several nice rainbows to 18 inches. All trout were released. I did get to help another angler get her 15" minimum rainbow (actually 17.5") for a big fish award and her 3rd fish toward her elite angler award. It was a great relaxing weekend.
